Our relationship with Air Products started in 1992, when we were contracted to assist this blue-chip organisation with the development of ISO9000 certified QM system for the first of its US chemical plants. Since then, we have been providing Air Products with first-class QM services on a regular basis, as part of its ongoing ISO quality drive.

Duracell is the global leader in the development and manufacture of high-performance consumer alkaline and rechargeable batteries.

Our relationship with this world-recognised brand began in the 1990’s, when we were contracted to implement their ISO9001 Quality Management System at their research and development centre located in Needham, Massachusetts.

This Project was a 101.2 MW wind farm, developed by Kruger Energy Port Alma Limited Partnership (KEPA) over 4,800 hectares of farmland near Port Alma, Ontario, Canada.

Turner & Coates provided KEPA with Inspection and Expediting for the two main contractors involved in delivering this successful project - Siemens Power Generation and ABB Inc.

We also provided expediting and inspection services at multiple European suppliers’ facilities, and also at major sub-suppliers employed by the main contractors. The project main equipment consisted of 44 Siemens 2.3 MW Mark II wind turbines and a 110MVA ABB Transformer.

It is estimated this wind farm will generate approximately 300,000 megawatt-hours of renewable energy per year.

In an extension to this exciting project, we also provided full project oversight services on the installation of an additional 44 wind turbines and transformer at the Chatham-Kent municipality, Southwestern Ontario.

Arauco is a major Chilean producer of market pulp and wood products, with over 1.2 million hectares of forest in Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. In recent years Turner & Coates has provided Inspection and Expediting support to Arauco's Valdivia and Itata Projects.

Valdivia represented a US$700 million investment by Arauco in the development of the Greenfield Pulp Mill. The Itata Sawmill and Wood Pulp Mill Plant represented a US$1.4 billion investment by Arauco.

Turner & Coates has provided Inspection & Expediting at major equipment and key equipment suppliers in Europe, North America and Asia. This equipment has included Turbo-generators, Power Boilers, Recovery Boilers, Feedwater Plant, Woodhandling Equipment, a Lime Kiln, Drying Equipment and Cooling Towers.

Most recently, we have provided Arauco with full inspection services to help oversee the European vendors of MDP (Medium-density Particleboard) for installation at a greenfield site in Teno, Central Chile. We also travelled to Sweden and Finland, on Arauco’s behalf, to inspect boiler parts made to repair installations damaged by the 2010 Chilean Earthquake. Obviously, this work was done on an urgent basis, in order to help get the country up and running again.

Established in 1920, CMPC Celulosa is the oldest paper producing company in Chile. It enjoys a long-standing tradition and is a reputable supplier to foreign markets, operating three pulp mills in Chile.

We were chosen by CMPC to provide inspection & Expediting at key European equipment suppliers during the recent fiberline expansions at their Pacifico and Laja Mills in Chile and the complete new second line (not only fiberline) at Santa Fé. This represented a total investment by CMPC of US$ 745 million.

Larsen & Toubro Limited is a technology-driven engineering and construction organisation, and one of the largest companies in India's thriving private sector.

In our many years of association with Larsen & Toubro, we have worked with them on over 17 major international projects, providing a range of inspection and expediting services across a number of domestic, European and North American suppliers.

Owned by Century Aluminium, Nordural - also known as Nordic Aluminium - operates a primary reduction facility located in Grundartangi, Iceland.

We have recently carried out Inspection & Expediting of smelter equipment throughout Europe and South America for their expansion project, raising annual capacity from 90,000 metric tonnes per year to 220,000 mtpy.

Turner & Coates provided in-process and final Inspection and Witness Performance Testing for 2 off 64 MW Generators being provided by Brush Electrical Machines, UK for the Saskpower Ermine SCGT Project. These were built in accordance with ANSI C50.14 and tested in accordance with IEEE Guide 115.
